Acharya Ashish Sharma serves as a dedicated priest at Maa Baglamukhi Temple, Nalkheda, in Agar Malwa district of Madhya Pradesh. He has spent more than twenty-five years in this tradition, and has been within it since birth.
His training is in the Vedic scriptures and in the ritual practice that accompanies them — Sanskrit, the mantra tradition, and the tantric and vedic disciplines as they are kept at this peeth. He is also a practising Vedic astrologer, and reads a horoscope before naming a vidhi where the situation calls for it.
Everything he offers is rooted in the authentic practice of Sanatan Dharma as it has been handed down. He does not improvise, and he does not offer a remedy the tradition does not contain.

Tantra, Mantra and Vedic practice.
The Baglamukhi tradition at Nalkheda carries all three together. The mantra is the core of it — the count, the discipline, the unbroken recitation. The vedic element governs the structure of the rite: sankalp, nyasa, offering, purnahuti. The tantric element is what gives the Baglamukhi practice its particular character, and it is kept here as it has been kept.
Acharya ji works within this whole. He does not treat these as separate offerings to be chosen between, because in this tradition they are not separate.
तंत्र, मंत्र एवं वैदिक साधना।
नलखेड़ा की बगलामुखी परम्परा तीनों को साथ लेकर चलती है। मंत्र इसका मूल है — संख्या, नियम, अखण्ड जप। वैदिक अंश विधि की संरचना निर्धारित करता है: संकल्प, न्यास, अर्पण, पूर्णाहुति। तांत्रिक अंश वह है जो बगलामुखी साधना को उसका विशिष्ट स्वरूप देता है, और यहाँ वह वैसे ही रक्षित है जैसा रहा है।
आचार्य जी इसी समग्रता में कार्य करते हैं। वे इन्हें पृथक विकल्पों की भाँति नहीं मानते जिनमें से चुनना हो, क्योंकि इस परम्परा में ये पृथक हैं ही नहीं।
The horoscope is read before the vidhi is named.
Acharya ji is a Vedic astrologer as well as a priest, and in this tradition the two are not separate roles. Where a devotee's situation suggests it, he will look at the horoscope before saying anything about a ritual — because a difficulty that is running through a particular graha period asks for a different response than one that is not.
विधि बताने से पूर्व कुण्डली देखी जाती है।
आचार्य जी पुजारी के साथ-साथ वैदिक ज्योतिषी भी हैं, और इस परम्परा में ये दो पृथक भूमिकाएँ नहीं हैं। जहाँ भक्त की परिस्थिति ऐसा संकेत दे, वे किसी अनुष्ठान के विषय में कुछ कहने से पूर्व कुण्डली देखते हैं — क्योंकि जो कठिनाई किसी विशेष ग्रह-दशा में चल रही हो, वह भिन्न उत्तर माँगती है।

Where a running dasha explains the difficulty, he says so — and often that is the whole answer.जहाँ चल रही दशा कठिनाई का कारण हो, वे बता देते हैं — और प्रायः वही पूरा उत्तर होता है।
Muhuratमुहूर्त
The date of a rite is set by the tradition's reckoning, not by convenience.विधि की तिथि परम्परा की गणना से निश्चित होती है, सुविधा से नहीं।
He listens first.
Acharya ji's practice begins with listening. A devotee describes what they are facing; he asks what has already been tried, how long it has continued, and what the household's own observance has been.
Only then does he name a vidhi — and often enough he names none, suggesting instead a simple observance at home. He does not accept a sankalp he does not believe is called for, and he does not take on more in a period than he can personally keep.
Devotees come to Nalkheda from across India and from abroad, with matters of every kind — marriage and household, work and trade, study, legal difficulty, and troubles that carry no evident cause. What is offered is traditional religious observance and guidance according to the situation, never an assurance of outcome.

No, and Acharya ji says so directly. These are traditional religious observances kept within the tradition.
